An ancient palace marvellously restored and constructed around two central patios in an ancient and historical quarter of the Marrakech Medina invites you to spend a magical holiday with them.

The Riad Bab Firdaus translates to "Door to Paradise" in Arab, and is a truly special residence providing guests with a luxuriously elegant and authentic Marrakechi atmosphere. Relaxation and calm are the theme in this riad that is decorated exclusively in antiques and custom ordered furniture artfully constructed by Moroccan artists. These photos can only extend an idea of the exceptionality of this riad.

Just meters away from the Bahia and El Badi palaces and the famous Jemaa El Fna square, the riad is situated in a calm street that opens onto a large parking. The colorful and animated Riad Zitoune quarter are only minutes away by foot.

Bab Firdaus is comprised of 3 luxurious suites and 4 guest rooms that are richly decorated in a harmonious mixture of silks throughout the salons and large galleries decorated with ornately sculptured plaster and cedar sculpted ceilings and panels. All rooms offer a high level of comfort and are equipped with large beds, air conditioning and heating units, satellite televisions, direct telephones and safes. Bathrooms are equipped with excellent quality bathrobes and babouches (slippers).

A small swimming pool with jets adorns the patio and is a welcome bonus in the warm summer months. A traditional hammam is at the disposal of guests as well as massages and beauty treatments.

The large rooftop terrace-solarium is decorated with parasols, sun chairs and a Berbere tent, and provides superb views of the Atlas Mountains.

Two restaurants are available for dining, both to in house guests as well as non staying guests. The restaurants are fabulously decorated and provide guests with the option of dining on the covered patio or on the terrace at the Grille Berbère under the Berbere tent. The talented chef once prepared dishes in the Royal Palace in Rabat and you will delight in his perfected Moroccan dishes served "a la carte".

Syvlie, the owner, has an excellent knowledge of Marrakech and will be happy to recommend and help organize some of her preferred excursions, city visits and tours as well as sharing some of her favorite addresses of boutiques and restaurants.

The Riad Bab Firdaus rented as a private rental can accommodate up to 16 people (quoted prices are for 14 people and there will be an additional fee for additional guests, maximum price for additional people can go to 40 euros/night/person depending on the season). Accommodations include three large suites, four spacious guest rooms, numerous lounges and salons. Attentive and discreet staff are at your disposal and breakfast is included daily in this rate.

TAXES AND ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Tourism Promotion Tax : since 2007, 'guesthouses' have to charge the Tourism Promotion Tax to their guests. The amount of the tax depends on the property category : between 8 and 11 moroccan dirhams per people per night (generally not included in the room rate). That tax is collected by the properties and integrally put back into Morocco National Tourist Office.
